Promotion of students from I-V will be made on the basis of the total performance in periodical, cumulative and final examinations.
Classes VI-X will have periodic tests and final examinations. The terminal exams and final exams cover 100% syllabus which has been covered each term and in the whole year. There will be 80 marks’ final examination covering full syllabus and the student has to secure 33% for a minimum pass. There will be 20 marks internal assessment. Student has to secure 33% out of overall 20 marks earmarked in each subject. This 20 marks comprises of periodic test (20 marks), notebook submission (5 marks) and subject enrichment activity (5 marks) which includes ASL in languages, practical in science and maths, and map work and project work in social science.
For promotion from XI, a student has to score a minimum of 33% in each subject in theory and in practical.
A student securing less than 33% in one subject only will be allowed to appear for compartment examination and should secure 33 % minimum for being promoted.
It is mandatory for every student to appear for all the examinations, in order to be eligible for promotion to the next class. A student who does not appear for the unit test, term exam and annual exams will be considered to have failed except on account of sickness and subject to the direction of the Principal. After each exam the progress report of the student should be signed by the parent.
